Mifflin-Schmid Design is a small company with big clients. We are structured to ensure that every client deals directly with one or both of our partners, Lize Mifflin and Kaspar Schmid, who manage a select group of designers and assistants. Because of our size, the direct access it guarantees clients, and the reputation our client list insures, large corporate clients happy to avoid bureaucracy are attracted to us. They are as carefully attended to as the small companies we also serve.
When we are asked to create building signage that serves the needs of users, we base our design solutions on the architects' values, using graphic design to support and enhance architectural integrity.

In 2005 and 2006, we advised interio not only on the strengths and weaknesses of their catalog and web designs, but also on their in-store graphics. We introduced a new typefont for all in-store and catalog graphics.

In collaboration with interio’s ad agency Cosmic, we were given the opportunity to redesign Switzerland’s beloved interio catalog. A wholly enjoyable and constructive collaboration ensued, in the course of which we provided the new format, typeface and layout concept, while art directing the first three catalogs.
