When Claraturm, the proposed “Messeplatz Basel” highrise project was confronted with a referendum, a political campaign defending the project was launched. The winning “Claraturm Ja” campaign welcomed the new building on the premise that it would provide much-needed new living space using the least city green space. To the Pro-Claraturm Community, the project meant things were looking up.
